LABoral and the cultural association Súbete establish a collaboration agreement to hold activities at the Centro de Arte
Initially birthday celebrations will be promoted with visits to exhibitions, workshops and games for small children

LABoral and the cultural association Súbete have signed a collaboration agreement to hold activities at the Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón. In its initial stage, the holding of birthday parties has been planned which will include visits to the exhibitions on show at the centre, participation in the artistic workshops and games and afternoon snacks. This initiative aims to encourage the enjoyment of cultural leisure time for children from 4 to 12 years old.
With a minimum of eight attendants, the birthday parties can be celebrated from Wednesday to Friday, from 4 pm to 7 pm, and at a cost of €10 for each participant if the afternoon snacks are provided by the parents, tutors, or authorised people, who can bring the food, drinks, cake, etc. If the snacks are offered by the organisation, the cost is 15 euros. On Saturdays and Sundays, the timetable is extended from 5 pm to 8 pm and the price will be 12 euros without afternoon snacks and 17 euros if they are included.
Súbete is a non-profit regional cultural association which is declared as a public utility and based in Gijón. The organisation’s purpose is sociocultural animation using leisure and free time techniques as tools, since it aims for a type of non-formal education which it considers to be a necessary complement to formal education. One of its key ideas is to improve education by supplementing it with requirements which fall outside those that are purely curricular. The association is formed by a team with a long professional record, thanks to which it has a broad portfolio of animators.
Inspired by a group of people from the association movement, it was created in Oviedo in 2002 with the objective of playing an active part in an educational and positive way in people’s free time. Although most of its activity is centred on organising activities for children and teenagers, it is also involved in work with other collectives. Another important objective of the body is to create employment, and with its projects there are approximately 25 people, mostly women, who find a job each year.
