Tadanori Yamaguchi

Tadanori Yamaguchi (JP) graduated in creative art from the University of Kyoto. He has lived in Asturias for ten years, arriving with a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His roots are clearly reflected in his works. Apparently simple in their realization, his sculptures are replete with conceptual contents. Stone, especially black granite and alabaster, is the artist’s material of choice for his works. Echoes of oriental art appear in his work almost silently, in a natural way, as a core idea within his spirituality. Besides his more intimate sculptures, Yamaguchi has also created various public commissions in the Principality of Asturias.
