Susanna Manrubia

Barcelona, 1969

Researcher. A graduate in Physics from the UB and PhD in Sciences from the UPC. Her scientific work is carried out at the CSIC-INTA Astrobiology Centre and explores interdisciplinary problems in the field of the evolution and adaptation of organisms. She did post-doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute (Berlin), with research on social systems and an analysis of the appearance of unsupervised order. In 2005, she received the Diario Médico Award for the best scientific ideas of the year. She combines research and making scientific issues known to a wider audience.
