Ricardo Iglesias

(Madrid, 1965) Lives and works in Barcelona

After graduating in Humanities at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, Iglesias furthered his studies in the field of creation with digital means. Co-founder of the interdisciplinary collaborative Proyecto ß, he currently imparts courses on interactive systems and interfaces in various universities and educational centres. In his installations and robots, Iglesias explores the complex world of relationships taking place between the subject, controlling powers and the boundaries separating the natural from the artificial. He has taken part in many Spanish and international art events, including Observatori. Valencia (2006); Hannover World Expo; SFMOMA (San Francisco); MEIAC, Caceres, Spain; ARCO 2000, Madrid (2000); ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany; Sónar 99, Barcelona; and MECAD, Barcelona (1999).
