Raquel Schefer

Porto, Portugal, 1981

Raquel has a Master in Documentary Cinema from Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires (2008). She is a PhD student in Film Studies at Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3. Schefer had a solo exhibition at Demolden Video Project Gallery, Santander (2010) and has also taken part in several group exhibitions, including: Tell me what are you thinking now, World Bank Washington (2011); 25 Frames por Segundo, Dockanema Documentary Film Festival, Maputo, Centro Cultural Brasil - Mozambique (2010); 5th Marmara Triennial, Istanbul (2010); The Screening Cabinet, Transforma, Torres Vedras, and Galeria Cabine, Lisbon (2010); Mulheres à beira de um ataque de nervos, Galeria Arte Contempo, Lisbon (2009); and El Globo de Juan, Casa de los Jacintos, Madrid (2008). Winner of the prize to the Best Film at the FUSO Festival, Lisbon (2010).
