Marina Núñez

(Palencia, 1966) Lives and works in Madrid

A doctor in Fine Arts from the University of Castilla La Mancha, and a painting teacher at the School of Fine Arts in Pontevedra, Spain. Her work maps the geography of posthuman beings, a cyborg hybridisation of the subject. That intersection of the body and digital technology is a recurrent feature in her videos, paintings, infographs and installations. Nuñez has exhibited her work at the Cervantes Institute, Paris (2006); Neue Spanische Kunst, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2002); Cairo Biennial (2001); Fundación Pilar y Joan Miró, Palma de Mallorca (2000); and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid (1997).
