Joanna Griffin

Researcher with the Transtechnology Research Group, University of Plymouth, United Kingdom.

Her project at the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom is about the experiential realm of spacecraft and the public domain.

For the last three years she has been based in Bangalore at the Centre for Experimental Media Art (CEMA) creating a project network called Moon Vehicle which designs forums for cultural interpretations of India's Chandrayaan Moon Missions.

These projects led to a collaboration between artists, designers, space scientists and engineers in the city to put on a festival of astronomy, Kalpaneya Yatre: Journey of Imaginations, for which she co-created a programme of events, discussions, workshops and activities.

Previously she held an International Arts Council of England Fellowship at the Space Science Lab, UC Berkeley and has held lecturing posts in Fine Art Printmaking at Winchester School of Art and Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
