Jesús Carrillo

Madrid, 1966

A graduate in Art History from the Universidad de Murcia, he holds an MA in historical studies from the Warburg Institute at the University of London and a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge (King’s College). Since 1997, he has been a professor of Art History and Theory at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He combines study of the empire and its representations in the Early Modern period with critical analysis of contemporary art and culture.
