Henrik Menné

Born in Denmark, 1973. Works as a sculptor

Henrik Menné graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts in 2002; he lives and works in Copenhagen. He works from a sculptor’s perspective in the field between science, art and technology. His sculptures are dynamic and process-based. The main part of his production consists of low-tech and self-built machines, which over time - during an exhibition - transform materials such as stone, wax, metal to temporary form. Another part of his production is the camera-based works: arrangements that in a closed circuit transmit - rather than digitally store -what takes place in space three dimensions to the flatness of the screen.
