Germán R. Blanco
Germán R. Blanco was born in Gijón, Asturias in 1977. He studied Viticulture and Enology in Madrid, and has a Master in Viticulture, Enology and Marketing of Wine (UNESCO) and in Master in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Legislation (School of Agronomist Engineers of Madrid). He has worked in Lavinia Madrid (Europe’s biggest wine shop) in charge of Italian and French wines, as well as in wine-making bodegas in La Mancha, Ribera del Duero and Navarra as part of his all-round education. At present he owns La Tienda de Vino (wholesale and retail business commercialising wines and special gastronomic products), La Maleta del Loco Gastrobar and the Germán R. Blanco Wine Studio, a wine consultancy currently directing a project in Ribera del Duero and another in El Bierzo
