Eugenio López

(Oviedo, 1951) Live in Menorca

Eugenio Lopez, since 1975, has had numerous solo and group exhibitions. He has participated in some significant exhibitions of international contemporary art circuit. His work is represented in museums and institutions, including Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias, Museo Es Baluard de Palma de Mallorca, Museo del Grabado de Marbella, as well as in private collections. In addition, his work has been awarded numerous occasions, most notably obtaining, in 2005, III Premio Internacional de Pintura FLC .

It is considered one of the most representative within the geometric and architectural style artists. The concept that defines his work is the rigor, excellence in the search for the essential, transcendent, through a minimum. In the belief that art has to influence everything around us should be noted, in particular, its rigorous geometry mural projects on large urban medians, or interventions by coating ultramarine monumental chimneys of some central thermal, or laser light sculptures in dialogue with historical architectures, etc.
