An artist who uses iron y and pr esentat ion strategies that employ new commu nicat ion technologies to question t he democr atic and equalitar ian promises of these media and cr it icise t he desire for control lying be hind their appar ent transparency. Based on t he confirmation that new information an d communicat ion technologies are transf orming our everyday life, Daniel García Andújar created a fictio n (Technologies to the People, 1996) designed t o make us increase our awareness of t he reality around us and of t he deception in promises of free choice that are converted, irremissibly, into new forms of control and inequ ality.
