Born in New Zealand, 1970. Lives in United Kingdom.


Carey Young has exhibited widely and had solo shows at venues including The Power Plant, Toronto; Museum of Contemporary Art, St. Louis; Thomas Dane Gallery Project Space, London; Paula Cooper Gallery, New York; Henry Moore Institute, Leeds; John Hansard Gallery, Southampton & other locations (2001-2). Her work has appeared in numerous group exhibitions, among them A Short History of Performance Part II, Whitechapel Gallery, London; 7th Sharjah Biennial; British Art Show 6, BALTIC, Newcastle & other locations (2005–6); How to Improve the World, Hayward Gallery, London; 2nd Moscow Biennial; Soft Manipulations, Casino Luxembourg; the performance series Hey Hey Glossolalia, curated by Creative Time, staged in New York. She is represented by Paula Cooper Gallery, New York.
