Allison Kudla

Born in USA, 1980

Allison Kudla lives in Bangalore, working as an artist-in residence and coordinator for the CEMA-Center for Experimental Media Arts at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is also a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Washington's Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS). She has exhibited her work internationally, won regional and international awards and has been published in books, online journals and magazines. Her former work uses data sensed from biological systems to create hybrid bio-mechanical systems. In her most recent projects, she has been exploring the combination of traditional pattern making and plant tissue culturing to make hybrid living interiors.
