Alfonso Suárez Rodríguez

Graduate in Geography and Territorial Planning and Master in Territorial Resources and Planning Strategies, both from the University of Oviedo. He is currently studying for a PhD at the aforementioned institution with a line of research focused on the study of sustainable urban development in Avilés with Virtual and Augmented Reality applications. Thanks to the award of a FPU grant from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, since 2022 he has been working as a pre-doctoral fellow in the Department of Geography at the University of Oviedo, teaching several undergraduate subjects (Degree in Geography and Land Management; Degree in Forestry and Environmental Engineering) and starting his research career. The latter focuses mainly on the study of the urban space of Avilés, the results of which have began to be published in communications to conferences and indexed journals.
