Albert Alcoz

Born in Barcelona, 1979

Filmmaker, writer, teacher and programmer specialized in experimental films, documentaries, creation video and music video.

He writes articles for written media. He was the programmer for Amalgama, experimental film and video sessions. He is co-director of the Venusplutón! músicas para ver, imágenes para oír project about music videos. He drafts since 2006 the Visionary Film web about experimental films and present day video creation. Since 2005 he shoots films in Super-8, 16 mm and video, using techniques like found footage cinema or cinema without a camera.

He has shown his work in centres like the Anthology Film Archives in New York, the National Gallery in Dublin, the Artium in Vitoria, the Caixafòrum in Madrid and festivals such as the EXiS in Seoul, the Jornadas de Reapropiación in Mexico or the BAFICI in Buenos Aires. Monographic showings of his work have taken place in Festival Punto de Vista in Pamplona, the Kino Palais and Fundación Telefónica in Buenos Aires.
