AES+F

Colective created in Russia in 1995

Moscow-born artists Tatiana Arzamasova, Lev Evzovich, and Evgeny Svyatsky formed AES Group in 1987 and later changed their name to AES+F when photographer Vladimir Fridkes joined them in 1995. The group's work focuses on photography and computer-based art, as well as videoart, but also uses more traditional media, such as drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Projects by AES/AES+F have been included in several biennials (Venice, Lyon, Sydney, Gwangju, Moscow, Gothenburg, Tirana, Istanbul, Bratislava, Seoul), and important group and solo shows worldwide. The video installation Last Riot was featured in the Russian Pavilion of the 52nd Venice Biennale. AES+F's works are in the collection of both major museums in Russia and throughout Europe, among them The State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; The State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg; Multimedia Art Center, Moscow; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; MEP, Paris; Les abattoirs, Toulouse; FNAC, Paris; Tate Modern, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade.
