Still Sneeze

Drawing inspiration from the classic short film produced by the Thomas Edison Company in 1894, Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze, one of the earliest films ever shot, this video is predicated on parody and exaggeration. It shows three men with disproportionate noses from where, as if by art of magic, and after increasingly noisier and more intense sneezes, pieces of meat and even living rabbits appear. The video focuses on the representation of the physical effort demanded by each sneeze—from tension to repose. Repeated once and again, the situation becomes more and more comical while at once showing the lack of control that the man sneezing has over his own body.
