Six Cars (2004)

Photo: Martín García Pérez

Six Cars reproduces a pile of six vehicles at small scale; a representation, as the artist says, of the city and its dwellers, with its traffic jams and long lines of cars, and citizens locked inside their cars. The distance built by the work through its scale and the material used in it (their simplicity contrasting with the complexity and size of real vehicles) encourages a reflective contemplation of a reality whose proximity usually prevents us from seeing it as it is.
