A sound postcard compiled from recordings made at the headframe of San Fernando (Orillés) and its surroundings.

This work focuses on the palpable dehumanisation of sound under-gone at the headframe since it was abandoned in the late 1960s. The soundscape has gradually returned to the mountain, where the endemic sounds of the natural environment are interrupted only by the constant reverberating rumble of the water from the depths of the mine shaft. Measuring more than 250 metres deep, this mine shaft remains immutable and omnipresent like a sound statue left by man as a memento of the past.
