Mitozoos, 2006

Interactive Installation Variable dimensions Commissioned by Fundación Telefónica

Mitozoos is an artificial life interactive model which encodes and creates organisms called "mitozoos". It is a 3D graphic environment consisting of a group of virtual creatures interacting among themselves. The user can watch their behaviour and evolution in an imaginary biological universe that simulates birth, existence of a genetic code, food, energy dissipation, reproduction and, eventually, death. This work is different from other artificial life models in that each and every variable and parameter of the model has a graphical representation. Mitozoos is a project developed by Bestiario, directed by Santiago Ortiz and commissioned by Fundación Telefónica, created as an interactive installation to be included in the touring show Divulga Biotec.
