Like a wounded animal, an indefinable motorised object lurches its way across the sand towards the camera. The wailing sound to be heard comes from the mechanism itself. Sitting inside a darkened doorway, a cat observes passers-by. Meanwhile close-ups of people begin to appear, posing individually for a portrait.
Giving off a constant sense of unease and foreboding, this work is a melancholic interpretation of a fragile, impulsive, broken surrounding environs built by recycling what is usually cast aside. Alberto Gracia portrays moods using objects and people to create a filmic sketchbook of interactions with the real.
