The artist María Cañas says that “life is what happens while we’re looking at our mobile. In fact, perhaps before too long we won’t need to read or speak languages, and it will be enough to know how to howl”. La mano que trina is a rebellion-sampler of the dark side of technology, the feeling of techno-paranoia, the religion of the selfie, technopathies, digital madness, programmed obsolescence, e-waste, posthumanism and so on.
In addition, it meditates on the meteoric path leading to total datification, because it could well be that in the end we are turning into data. After all, for a one-year-old child, a magazine is no more than a tablet that doesn’t work.
