Jaguar, a Product Placement (2002)

Video. DVD 10’ 38”

Jaguar, a Product Placement is the second part of a project entitled Jaguar. (The first part is a chrome coated jaguar skeleton mounted in the position of the logo of the famous luxury car.)

Jaguar, a Product Placement is composed of fragments of different fiction movies and is supposed to be a work in progress. From the first moment the blonde woman steps in the jaguar car, one has the impression that the car takes control over all human action and thus exteriorizes the darkest and most dramatic sides of human psyche (insanity, violence, drugs, prostitution...) A luxury car possessed by an exemplary type of social class quickly gangsterizes according to their most obscure activities.
