This short film by Daniel Couberta Touzón inserts us inside the mind of an invisible man. This conceptual gambit proffers the possibility of the supreme degree of looking without being seen. Without any corporality, we can infiltrate all kinds of worlds and also gain free access to desired bodies, situations and places. The work is a metaphor of the gaze and how it is construed, of voyeurism as a way of appropriating the lives of others, of the poetics of solitude, of culture as parallel life, that ends up in the form of a reflection on desire which is genuine as long as it remains on the plane of the unattainable.
Underwritten by prodigious fantasy, the piece is sustained by a convincing formal development combining animation, found footage, references to film and art, and video drawing.
