Elisa Cepedal
Was born in Asturias in 1982. She lives in London.
Graduated in Fine Arts by Universidad del País Vasco and later in Cinema by The London Film School. Her work La playa (2010) has been shown in international festivals, including, BAFICI in Buenos Aires, Raindance and The London Spanish Film Festival in London, Festival de Cine de Guadalajara in Mexico or Spanish Cinema Now in New York. In 2010 she was awarded with the Primer Premio Nuevos Realizadores del Principado de Asturias in the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón.
Her latest work, Ay pena (2011), has been selected in the Official Selection of the festival in 2011, at the Festival de Cinema de Valencia, Cinemajove, as well as in the prestigious New Directors / New Films organized by MoMA and Film Society of the Lincoln Centre in New York. Both works have been nominated for Best Short Film and Best Cinematography in Fuji Film Awards 2011 and 2012 in the UK. She combines her works on the steering with the assembly. Lives and works in London.
