Otoño del reciclaje
Promoted by EMULSA, Empresa Municipal de Empresa de Servicios de Medio Ambiente Urbano de Gijón in collaboration with Fundación Municipal de Cultura, Educación y Universidad Popular and LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial and supported by the Gijon City Council, the Otoño del reciclaje (Recycling Autumn) programme wishes to cast light on the potential of many elements thrown away as trash to be used as the basis for art interventions, exemplifying the process of reusing waste.
As part of a Civic Environmental Awareness Campaign that wants to involve and engage the people of Gijon with the urban environment, the goal is to raise awareness among citizens with regards to recycling, waste reduction and care for green areas in the city.
Eight of the projects presented in the exhibition will be chosen to be carried out in various spots of Gijon in Autumn.
