Exhibition LAB<20
Show of the selected rojectson the 1st LAB<20 Award
Twelve projects conform the Exhibition LAB<20, which includes the awarded projects and the mentions of the LAB<20 Award. It is an award created by LABoral Centro de Arte, which aims to give visibility and share with society the technical and creative potential of Asturian digital natives below twenty years of age.
The exhibition shows the most outstanding proposals, made by students of schools and institutes of diversity of points of the Asturian geography, such as Castrillón, Gijón, Mieres, Oviedo and Santullano, as well as others and other young people who have presented individually to the call.
All skills, disciplines and topics such as audiovisual and sound creation, robotics, creative programming, digital design and manufacturing, or social networks.
The exhibition includes works as varied as a model of a parking lot made with an interactive system of digital signage, an elevator created by 3D printing; a mobile travel application; short films; a digital book-object; stop socially and culturally committed movements or an installation that makes us reflect on the role of the economy and digital technology in a person with hearing disability.
The exhibition also wants to value the initiatives promoted by the faculty of schools and institutes, which promote the original and committed way, the preparation of their students for the digital world, which will involve very different challenges from what characterizes the industrial age.
They and they are the protagonists of a new generation that faces the challenges and changes derived from the scientific and technological advances of today's society.
From LABoral we want to pay attention to these young people, promoting a critical and creative use of the technology that forms, increasingly a fundamental part of our lives and work.
