Spinnen. Ilustration by Maria Sibylla Merian of Metamorphosis insectorum surinamensium

A swarm is a group of similar insects specially bees whose tendency to divide and the sounds it generates, acts as a metaphor for the activity of any other social group. With this idea, ecoLAB´s working group opens the doors of Almacén Sur, an hybrid space showing the processes, encounters, meetings, activities and artists ways of working.

Patio Sur, ecoLAB physical experimentation space, it is a green space which, beneath an apparent formal disorder, conceals the beauty and casual richness of a non-garden. It is open during the group meetings. It holds a signage allowing the discovery of its secrets and working system.

For this show many local artists and collectives collaborated during the open meetings, helped on the documentation and supported the project in many different ways.

Coordinated by: Lorena lozano ans Rubén Suárez
