LABoral, awarded the seal ‘Gijón Responsible Tourism. Committed Companies’

LABoral is one of the six companies or institutions recognized with the seal ‘Gijón Responsible Tourism. Committed Companies’. This project aims to highlight the responsible practices that have developed different tourism businesses of the city in the framework of the Biosphere World Urban Destination certification that Gijón held since last year (more information).

The town of Jovellanos is the second largest city - after Barcelona, to be recognized with this seal of sustainability –granted by the Responsible Tourism Institute, approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and sponsored by UNESCO.

The aim of the Responsible Tourism policy of LABoral is to establish the basic principles and the general framework of action for the management of Corporate Social Responsibility practices assumed by LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial

LABoral, artistic referential linked to new technologies and cultural and tourist resource of Gijón, cannot be understood detached from the ecosystem in which it takes part. LABoral is a living organism that adapts to the environment, establishing a symbiotic relationship with the environment and that evolves through the interaction between art, science, technology and society, in constant dialogue with its stakeholders and the city.
