17:30 to 19:00

Catedral de la lluvia is a sound installation of 2 hours and 30 minutes about the construction of the storm water tank of the Hermanos Castro Park in Gijón and its subsequent implementation.

We invite you to participate by reading texts related to the theme of the exhibition. In this way, through reading and sharing, we will exchange reflections and delve into the sensory journey that Juanjo Palacios wanted to transmit with his piece. In a creative, dynamic and transversal way we will share poetry with industrial echoes, art and engineering in texts dedicated to the storm and lines that reflect the soundscape that welcomes gears, turbines and rain. In short, we will gather to pay homage to water and the hidden spaces it inhabits beneath our feet.
From 17:30 to 18:00 we will visit the exhibition with the presence of the artist Juanjo Palacios.
At 18:00 h will begin the reading of the texts.
This session will be led by the philologist Mar Martín.
Catedral de la lluvia has been produced with the support of EMPRESA MUNICIPAL DE AGUAS DE GIJÓN, S.A. (EMA).
Activity promoted and financed by the Department of Culture, Language Policy and Tourism of the Government of the Principality of Asturias.
