The workshop will take place in the physical and conceptual context of the Situation Room Project, the prototype of an experimental urban Situation Room for Asturias currently on exhibit.
In the workshop, the children will have the different kinds of existing Control Rooms and the purpose of each one explained to them. Participation in games and hands-on activities will demonstrate the way control rooms are used to monitor key locations. Explanations will also be given of how computers gather data from different networks and then visualise them in a readily comprehensible way on display screens, in lists, through information graphs...
