One of the latent problems of AI is that it often learns from pre-existing images and sounds, in which certain traits and patterns are perpetuated that do not precisely help to abolish the prejudices related to sensitive subjects such as gender, for example. Aware of this situation, Feminist Data Set consists of a series of workshops, conferences and participatory actions, through which all types of data are collected related to the image of women in society and culture.

It is about experiencing and becoming aware of this collection of information from a clearly feminist perspective. The data will be put into circulation through social networks, to combat traditional models of the female gender.  The aim of these collective actions is to explore how information and interfaces can become agents of change within the automatic learning system to which AI algorithms are subject. All in all, the Sinders project aims to raise awareness of the perpetuation of patriarchal patterns in programming language and to create antidotes in the form of images, sounds and programming that pose a more egalitarian approach to the role of women in 21st century society.

The results of the workshop will be shown in an installation that will be part of the D3US EX M4CHIN4 exhibition.
