Within the framework of the activities of the exhibition Barricadas en los hielos by artist Oliver Ressler, whose central theme is global warming and the climate justice movement, we will hold the next session of the LABoral Book Club on the publication "Contra el futuro" (Against the Future).
We will count with the presence of its author Marta Peirano and Pablo De Soto, director of LABoral Centro de Arte to get into the intersection of technology and power in terms of environmental disaster.
Through videos and photographs, Ressler shows us her research on mobilizations, assemblies and meetings of climate movements around the world.
"Against the Future" makes us reflect on the solutions we have at our disposal to curb global warming and the role of the great technologies of our time in managing the climate crisis.
In this session we will discuss strategies for citizen action to address the acceleration of climate feudalism and disaster capitalism.
At 7:30 p.m., prior to the event, there will be a guided visit to the exhibition Barricades in the ice.
