Residency: Mario M. Martínez
The artist will carry out his project “Ctrl.+Alt.+Del. [fuerade]”
The proposal of Martínez analyses how a series of stimuli coming from the digital world alter our biometric parameters in the real world: The notification light of our mobile, a specific sound in our computer or a subtle vibration can trigger various emotional reactions.
His installation, made up of sculptural, audiovisual and sound elements, is a system whose parts affect each other and react to each other, simulating the reaction triggered by all these signs in people.
The artist will explore all these questions during a two-month residency at Plataforma 0, in LABoral's Production Centre.
Ctrl.+Alt.+Del. [fuerade] is the winning project of the 9th Production Grant LABjoven_Los Bragales, called jointly by LABoral and Colección Los Bragales, owned by the Cantabrian entrepreneur Jaime Sordo.
