Conoce Laboratorio (Meetlab) is a scientific dissemination programme whose aim is to promote and encourage scientific and technological culture. Through this programme, Gijón con Ciencia promotes the development of spaces for exchange and communication to make scientific knowledge accessible to society.

Two lectures will be given at LABoral Centro de Arte to show the results of the "Research Workshop: Asturias, from Natural Paradise to Climate Refuge" promoted by LABoral Centro de Arte in collaboration with the University Chair in Climate Change of the University of Oviedo (CuCC) within the framework of the exhibition "Climate Engines".

The methodology and results obtained in the sessions held with Spanish and European experts, from different fields of knowledge, and with university students from the official degrees of Commerce and Marketing, Tourism, Biology and Geography will be presented in order to know the perception of the challenges and opportunities that would suppose an eventual transition of Asturias from a natural paradise to a climatic refuge.

The lectures will be given by Daniel Herrera, Professor in the Department of Geography and member of the CuCC's Scientific Committee, and Pablo de Soto, Director of LABoral Centro de Arte.

Activity promoted and financed by the Government of the Principality of Asturias.
